Hello Denis,
Have you tried silicon grease, not the thin stuff you get for door seals but silicon grease, they sell it a Q8. I smeared it all over the rubber seal and then use spray silicon where the seal joints the metal roof. Its messy but seems to work and can be cleaned up in the summer. Give it a go, it will do no harm, not cost a lot and be easier than patching the hole.

Hello Peter,
I installed a cheap Chinese heater from Amazon, cost around 1200 SEK, nothing like the quality of the Webasto, but at the price its good value. My logic being I could by 8 of these for the price of a Webasto. Its worked well so far and I have been impressed by how little fuel it uses even at -26. I installed it in the storage box in the back but MUD do a cubby box so you can install between the seats, but you will need to run a pipe from the fuel tank in that case.
Cheers Michael
PG by the way I have a full set of new HD springs if your interested, I ordered two sets by mistake.
Hi PG,
Take a look at this forum https://forums.lr4x4.com/topic/47912-1-2-3-4-5-lifts-but-over-what-eaxctly/?tab=comments#comment-437086
I have a 90 with standard Heavy Duty springs and I would say this is about right.I recomend disconnecting the negative lead to the battery and testing the amps drawn, at least that will give you a bench mark. Then you can start taking fuses out an see if you can trace the power drain. I have fitted a small solar panel to my defender (not much use in winter) but better than nothing, but also have a charger wired into the winter heater. I am also going to fit an isolator switch for when the vehicle is not used regularly. Hope this helps, good luck.

Dear Henrik,
Sorry for the delay, been busy with power cuts due to trees taking power lines down. Thanks for the advice. I have been using brake cleaner, where do you get the Heptan from? I also notice the gaskets swelled up, had difficulty to get the engine loom connector back into the injector loom connector. I changed out the injector loom for a new one. I have been thinking about adding a connector block into the engine loom near the ECU to act as a oil trap, as recommended by (4557) above.
Thanks guys you are all a great help, look forward to meeting you one day.

Are you selling?
Hello Isbjorn,
I have changed the injector loom and drilled holes in the ECU plug. Just now the process of. keep washing the engine harness through with brake cleaner and keep cleaning the plug. Now onto other fault finding, every day is a school day : )

So the fuel leak was a damaged O ring on the pressure regulator. What a fun job getting the regulator off .. : )

Hello Göran,
Sorry I dont have advice on the Disco heater, but I would actually recommend fitting a deisel heater, you can get them from around 1200 SEK on Amazon. I fitted one to my Defender and its been a life saver in the -18 temps we are getting in North Sweden.
