Hi Denis,
This is the guy I go to on YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bpm8aQTIM64 My main worry is getting the bolts out as everything else on the Landy has been over tightened.
Johannes,
You were completely correct, it is the regulator. I did not notice it before, but I just changed the fuel pump and the improved pressure is causing a very noticeable drip, drip.
Next Job…All the Best Michael
Hi Henrik,
Happy New Year, just to close the noisy fuel pump. It gave up the ghost last week and I changed it. One of the brushes had burn out, see attached. What amazed me was the motor still ran with no pump. Every day is a school day.
Hi Jannes,
Happy New Year. I have been a bit busy with changing the fuel pump, so the oil leak took a lower priority. But now I have ordered some florescent marker oil and a UV torch.
My plan is to remove the belly plate and get it up on a lift and have a proper look-see.All the Best Michael

Hello All, case closed,
So I found the issue, one of the brushes was burn out, likely due to the extra load on the pump with all the grunge in the filters.
Amazing hobby we have. All the Best Michael
Sorry double entry.
Hello everyone,
Thanks for all the advice. In the end it turned out to be the fuel pump. Given the weather I acessed the pump through the floor. All went well and a bit easier that droping the tank in the snow.
All the Best Michael
Hi Per,
Sorry for the delay in responding, I thought I had posted a response but it did not upload. So the manifold pressure is around 98 engine stopped and only 106 engine running. But I pulled out the fuel pump and found this, so I hope this is the issue. I went though the floor as dropping a tank is not an option. All good fun )
All the Best Michael
Dear Palle,

Hi Per,
The saga continues. I freed up the siezed turbo waste gate, some improvement but not a lot. I ran the diagnostics and the manifild pressure is 98.1kps engine stopped and 106.2kps engine running at 1900 RPM. See attached I cant get the engine to rev over 1900rpms. Any thoughts.
All the Best Michael
I have 8 orders from various companies, Padock, Rimmer Brothers, Flat Dog, Devon 4×4 and all are stuck. I have one notification from UPS that delivery is cancelled. Ho hum…
Hi Per,
Sorry I should have mentioned left hand side. I wish I had been in Sweden when you guys change to the right hand side of the road, I bet they were interesting day.
I will check the boast pressure, then have a go at freeing up the waste gate and see if it changes. I really hope this is the issue and not electrical.
All the Best Michael
So I may have found the source or at least a source to the problem. After trawling the internet for a couple of hours I found this on turbo sticking waste gate. https://youtu.be/YXhd2f11ZRk So I checked mine and sure enough it was jammed solid and open. I managed to free it up some, with WD40 and mole grips, but I have run out of day light and motivation to work in the rain… But it is running a little better, so will follow the instructions in the video. Fingers crossed this will do the trick.
Thanks for all the useful suggestions, if nothing else I am learning a lot : )
Med Hilsen Michael
