I want to fit spotlights to my 2009 Defender 90 and the plan is to try and do it myself first before sending the car to a workshop. Now, my first question is: what is legal here in Sweden? Is it OK I can switch them on with a switch on the dashboard? Or do they have to come on only with high beams?
And, this would be the first time I do something like that and I have very little clue on how to proceed and what is needed, so here is a list of what I have so far: Spotlights Cable Fuse Holder Fuse
And of course Switch. Now, I got in touch with MUD UK and they told me that if I go for the factory switch, I also need the connector kit – second item from top – and of course this got me a bit confused
Long story short, I would be so grateful if any of you could give me some guidance: is there a step by step guide on this forum, possibly with pictures, of the same job for the same model (TDCi Defenders)? I searched on UK forums and got even more confused. Or, do you think I should just give up and take it to a workshop? I’m in Stockholm, and I’d also be happy if someone was available to do it together as long as not speaking a single word of Swedish is not a problem.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Luigi
