Hi All,
After trying to ignore my rusty old bumper for some time I took the chance to sort it out when I removed it to sort the winch and change the intercooler and radiator. So after some research, not being a paint expert, I opted for Raptor bed liner. Its a two pack paint which is reported as being very tough.
After not been able to find a bead blasting company who would strip the old paint and rust I embarked on 2 day session with wire brush and sanding disks, then rust converter, under coat and 3 coats of raptor. Mostly happy with the result. The glossy finish changed to the stated egg shell.

Looks nice, I have used Raptor color on some parts as well, seems to last.

Yes more time than usual, normally I am home for 6 weeks a year trying to cram everything in… I still have a long list of things to do, including fitting a new heater matrix, new read diff and the job I am trying to avoid sorting the wiring out… not a job I like doing.
Can you put a photo up of the colour raptor you used. You just add colour to the black?

sorry if I mislead you, I only used the black standard Raptor paint.You managed to do a lot of upgrades to your car this year, I wish I was that structured AND skilled!
I´m planning for the rear brake change, but the wheel bearing change is still a bit scary, and so far I haven´t
even figured out what type of fastening I have old version or new. My Td5 is an early 1999 and then sometimes

I knew nothing about Land Rovers until I brought the 90 last year, despite driving them for years in the army. Doing the wheel bearings is not such a problem, but my advice is to get a spare hub, not so expensive, then fit the bearing races before you take the old hub off, can refurbish the old one in your own good time. see photos below. Make sure you clean out the old thread with a tap. Also dont event try to remove the half shaft flange bolts without a goot minute of heating until you see the grease start to bubble out the bolts. I striped several bolts to learn this.
I recommend checking what system you have lock nuts ot stake nut, I think stake nut on TD5. just take the end cap off the front axle and you can see. Stake nut looks like photo attached. Likely the same on all axles unless someone has been messing.
The stake nut system is a bit more tricky to set up, you will need a dial test indicator and a selection of spaces. I have laods so can help you there. Dont be tempted to use the old stake nut. Also I ground a small chisle down to open the old nut up. Shame you are not close would be happy to help.
