My name is Luigi and I’m an Italian expat living in Stockholm. I recently bought a 2009 Defender 90, which I imported from Italy, and right now I’m interested in finding out more about:
Mechanics/Workshops in the Stockholm area Spare parts (where you buy them – online, UK, Sweden?): specifically, I need a roof rack, fog lights and I think a swingaway spare wheel carrier would be nice Greenlaning/Off-roading: nothing too extreme, I’d just be happy to put my Landy to good use and learn the basics (never been off-roading in my life)
I’m pretty sure these topics have all been discussed many times on this forum but my Swedish is non-existant and it could take me days to find the right thread(s), so it would be great to have some link to these existing threads, and then I could probably use Google Translate… At least until my Swedish gets better
Hi Luigi. Welcome to Sweden. We’re having a get-together on saturday in Täby and you’rw very welcome. Lots of people who know all the things you want to know. 10.00 "Lantmännen" parkinglot…it’s a good start on your swedish Land Rover-life, if you have the posibilitynto come… Welcome
Hi Carl-Johan, thanks for your reply. I’m not in town for the next two weekends, travelling for work. If I remember correctly, you have a get-together every second saturday – is it still the case? I’ll do my best to join the next one. Do you already have an idea when and where? And I can just show up and talk to people? Thank you so much for helping!
