( http://www.swedenoffroad.com/ )I´m surprised no one has mentioned it. The event goes from south to far north. On regular roads, but every or every second day there is an event involving off road driving. All types of terrain sand, rocks, swamps, forrest, depending on in which part of Sweden you are that day. You can participate every day or jump on an off as you please.
If you want an adventure, test your car and experience Sweden, this is a very good alternative.
thank’s
I have also see this website but we prefer take the road alone , because we have two little childs and a dog ,
and I think the price of this trip is too expensive for us , because , I think we don’t go in suede this year , but in 2009 (for time we don’t have enough money for the trip (I think we need 3000€ and we have only 1500 €))bests regards
Bon chance!

Jean-Francois,
I have found and bought a Range Rover V8 EFI 1990 in Madrid with Swedish matriculation plates.
By the end of this month I’ll collect it and take it back to Sweden.
On the way I’ll visit the Land Rover 60 year jubilee in Gaydon, UK, May 3 – 4.
These engines, EFI V8, have a doubtful reputation as to the electronic engine management system.
To have the possibility to get some assistant under ways I’d like to know if there is some way to, by e-mail or elswise, get in touch with Land Rover enthusiasts along the road. I have chosen to follow the road Madrid – Calais, suggested on the website of viaMichelin.
By the way – which is the cheapest way to get from the Continent to the UK and will some French clubs arrange convoys to Gaydon?
I might need spares, tools, advice on very experienced, knowledgeable and reliable workshops etc – AND suggestions of nice places to visit, for overnight stays and excellent and local food – after all it is in FRANCE and I am a food chemist…
Contact with other Land Rover enthusiast just for a chat would be very nice as well!
Do the clubs have one website each or is there some common, making it easy to contact several clubs if I need to call for help?
What’s your e-mail address and telephone number?
Hope to hear from you soon – and my e-mail address is Quality@bergknut.se and mobile telephone number + 46 708 807415.
Best wishes and many thanks in advance
Krister
PS. I’ll be leaving Madrid on April 27 or 28 and my French is "com si, com sa". DS.

well
it’s a very long way
have you got the time ?because in france all the place are different and are different speciality to eat
so if I have understand
you do the trip Madrid to englandI think your road don’t pass around the Mediterannee see (my home it’s beetween Montpellier and Nimes ) but along the ocean
so in the south west there are a lot of speciality to eat and drinkif you would like adress for eat or wine , you can contact on the web , the city , or "Region " where you go all have website ,
on google , write in french "office du tourisme (and the city or departement)"for land rover owner , you can do a post on the forum landmania , here
http://www.landmania.com/forum/index.phpif you want some help to post we can help you , or do the post for you
if you pass by my home , we are happy to see you and you can eat and sleep here and look for the place
but give me more details of your itinerary
hej da

Thanks for your answer.
I wrote a post to Landmania and am hoping to get an answer…
Please check and see if it’s in a proper place and underatandable. The trip will be shortest way from Madrid to Calais and unfortunately I’ll not pass by where you live.
If however there are Land Rover enthusiasts along the road and/or interesting places to visit for overnight stays, good food or nice views etc I / we’ll of course make deviations from the route.I have spent many summer in Menton and I like the Cot dÁzur..
Will I get an e-mail when someone answers my post on Landmania?
