Can I ask why you want to switch away from studded? I live up in the North and we get loads of snow and ice. I hit some black ice last year and would have been in a ditch if it was not for my studs, there was no traction at all. This said I am driving M/S Cooper tires i the summer and I met a Jeep driver in the winter who used them all year round. Great in packed snow, but he admitted not fun on ice.
Sorry didn’t answer your question but for me unless you live in a city, it will always be studs and even chains, see photo : )
